Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Birgit K. Toome, who serves patients in New Jersey.

Dr. Toome has been practicing both cosmetic and general dermatology for over 25 years. She is a part of the team of professionals at The Derm Group, seeing patients at the offices in Egg Harbor Township and Marlton, New Jersey. Back in the early days of her academic career, Dr. Toome graduated with her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1986. She then went on to complete her residency in dermatology at the University of Rochester in New York. Following her training, the doctor attained board certification in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology (ABD). The ABD is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology. Achieving fellowship status, Dr. Tomme is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
